About Grandmaster Kijin Chang

Grandmaster Kijin Chang is the President and Head Master of Chang Brothers Martial Arts Academy. He has over thirty -five years of experience in Martial Arts. He is a 7th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and a 6th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido. Grandmaster Chang strives for Quality in developing excellence in his students and Instructor. Grandmaster Chang is recognized Internationally for his achievement and dedication to the advancement and growth of Taekwondo. Grandmaster Chang is a member of the U.S. Taekwondo Union and a member of the World Taekwondo Federation. Taekwondo improves the mind, body, and spirit.

Grandmaster Chang has earned many distinctions.

  1. Former U.S. National Team Coach.

  2. He was Illinois State Senior and Junior Olympic Team Head Coach.

  3. He was State Head Coach for the National Collegiate Championships.

  4. He was Head Coach for the Korean-American T.K.D Championships.

  5. He was U.S.T.U. National Junior Olympic Committee.

  6. He is a recipient of the Outstanding Master Award from U.S.T.U. President.

  7. He has received special Citations and Appreciation awards from World Taekwondo Federation President Un Yong Kim.

  8. For his contribution to the growth of Taekwondo as a Olympic Sport, he has received awards from I.O.C Vice-President.

  9. Village of Hanover Park and Streamwood have given him Appreciation awards for his dedicated service to community.

  10. He was a Korean-American Olympic Team Coach.

  11. He was U.S.T.U. Interscholastic Committee Vice-President.

  12. He was Vice-President of the Illinois State Taekwondo Association
